Rich Ford co-founded Vesta Ventures in 2021. As a Managing Partner, Rich oversees the venture capital strategies and strategic opportunities for the Vesta platform. Rich has spent his career as both an operator, as a Co-Founder at Roofstock, and as an Investment Banker with more than 20 years of M&A and capital raising experience. He is a pioneer in the Single-Family Rental sector, having taken part in some of the key transactions and capital raising events in the space since its inception as an institutional asset class. As a Co-Founder at Roofstock, he held the role of Chief Development Officer, responsible for Revenue generation across the platform and instrumental in launching the institutional focused business verticals. 

Prior to Roofstock, Rich was a Managing Director at Jefferies, where he incidentally organized the first Single Family Rentals industry-conference. He has also held positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the Royal Bank of Canada, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers.

Rich was a seed investor at Offerpad [NYSE: OPAD] and has made other angel investments and guided other entrepreneurs in the space prior to founding Vesta Ventures. 

Rich is a 2019 HousingWire Insider, having been recognized as a pioneer of single-family rental investing. He holds a BS from the University of Victoria, an MS from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
